This winter, our historic sailing boat Galeotto II treated herself to a full spa makeover—and what a transformation it was! After years of adventures on Lake Garda, she had a few sun-kissed spots, some worn teak, and a handful of tired planks, but her charm never faded. With a little love and a lot of care, she’s now ready to set sail in style all over again.

Sailing Boat Restoration, Part 1: Removing Worn-Out Planks
The first stop on her makeover journey was the teak deck. We removed the old caulking, sanded away the years of weathering, and revealed the wood’s rich, golden glow.
Fresh rubber was tucked snugly between the planks, giving the deck that perfect balance of strength, comfort, and nautical elegance. Next, we tackled the hull, removing any weary planks and replacing them with sturdy new ones, restoring her classic lines without losing a hint of character.

Sailing Boat Restoration, Part 2: Paint and Oil
A fresh coat of paint brought a vibrant shine to her surfaces, while the bow deck received careful attention to turn it from “well-loved” to utterly inviting. To top it all off, a layer of water-repellent oil made the teak gleam like it had just stepped out of a boutique spa.

Now, Galeotto II is fully refreshed and raring to go. She’s ready to carry you across the sparkling waters of Lake Garda, inviting you to breathe in the wind, feel the sun on your skin, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
